Uma Thurman and Arpad Busson got acquainted at one of the parties held during Fashion Week in Milan. The actress was impressed by Arpad’s passion, energy and recklessness. The millionaire persuaded Uma that she would feel a real happy woman only with him. As far back as in 1994 Arpad say Uma in “Pulp Fiction” and publicly stated that some day he would marry her. Surprisingly as it may seem, the initiator of the engagement was the actress herself. The pair stated about their intention to marry in June 2007, but the date of the marriage was not set as they did not want to hurry.  However, after the quarrel that has reached this scale, no one is likely to watch a luxurious wedding that was going to be held in Kensington Palace, the former official residence of Diana, Princess of Wales until her death in 1997.

The authorities of Switzerland arrested Roman Polanski just as he arrived at the Zurich airport. A Swiss court on November, 25 approved the release of Polanski on bail of 4.5 million Swiss francs which is equal to $4.49 million. And after that Polanski was transferred to house arrest in the upscale ski resort of Gstaad on December 4.

The reason of the arrest was an international sexual assault of which he was charged more than 30 years ago. The world famous filmmaker was pleaded guilty of having illegal sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl at a Hollywood party. The band is expected to head the line-up during the Somerset show that is to be held on Friday 25 June.

The leader of the band, Bono, made it clear in one of his interviews that every member of the band is very happy and excited about such an event. This information he provided at the opening of an anti-Aids/HIV campaign.

For over 25 years, Glastonbury is going to be the band’s first performance at a festival. U2 will visit the UK during their flight in the middle of a North American tour.

This Monday the band’s leader visited central London in order to begin the campaign, called “Lace Up. Save Lives”. The campaign represents a joint project of Nike and the Red brand. Bono is a co-founder of the latter.

At the launch of the campaign that took place right before World Aids Day, Bono was supported by Didier Drogba, famous Chelsea striker. Other world famous celebs from the world of football also were present at the occasion.

This campaign offers people to purchase red laces in order to raise funds for AIDS treatment and implementing education programs in Africa.

Glastonbury festival will be held from 25—27 June next year. At this time South Africa will be hosting the 2010 World Cup.

So far, no other headliners apart from U2 have been announced. It is reported that David Bowie refused to participate. However, it is still considered to be likely that he will be seen there.

As far as the tickets for the festival are concerned, they are now not available any more, as they sold out last month not long ago after they went on sale.
