In spite of earlier reports, Gary Coleman was not arrested on charges of domestic assault. His arrest came from an entirely different charge and the fact that he failed to appear in court on that charge. Everyone was quite shocked when it was reported earlier that the pint size Coleman had been arrested for domestic assault.

Randy Kester, Coleman’s attorney, told People magazine that this entire incident is not as serious as it seems and that Coleman was not arrested for assault. A police statement in Santaquin, Utah, said that no criminal charges were filed against the 41 year old actor. However, they did release that they had responded to Coleman’s home on Sunday due to a “civil disturbance.” The cause of this disturbance was not made clear.

It was hard for many to believe that the adorable former star of “Diff’rent Strokes” had been arrested and was booked at the Utah County Jail. The fact that it was not due to wife beating may make a lot of them feel a bit better. But the real reason has not been released. When Coleman was put in jail, the arrest warrant had nothing to do with the original call that sent police to his house. Even Kester was not sure what case this had to do with. All he knew is that there was a prior charge at some point and Coleman had not appeared in court to answer those charges. As his attorney, though, you can bet that Kester will be finding out just what that was all about.

As for Coleman, he was allowed to post bail and has been released from custody. Therefore, he will get to go home while all of this gets sorted out and he can return to the good side of the law.

A famous British singer Amy Whinehouse seems to experience unfavourable times in her life. We are talking now about an alleged assault that took place on Saturday at an English theater. Due to that incident Amy Whinehouse had the chance of getting back to familiar surroundings. In other words, she was arrested and charged in connection with the mentioned above alleged assault.

And the news has spread fast. The Associated Press declared that Amy Whinehouse was careless to turn herself in to Thames Valley Police on Wednesday. Afterwards she was arrested after appearing at the police station with her lawyer.

Whinehouse was charged by police because of a public order offence and general assault under her married name, Amy Civil, giving the continuation to an alleged event at the Milton Keynes Theatre on Saturday. Still police didn’t give the public any details regarding the incident. But however, the British press didn’t miss the chance of discussing the whole story. In other words, there were some details about Whinehouse’s struggle with a member of the theatre’s stuff after her beginning to heckle a performance of the famous “Cinderella”. It should be also mentioned that Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney is the star in the popular performance.

On the other hand, the Times Online admitted that Whinehouse was trying to interact the show with enthusiasm by providing the performance with annoying phrases like “he is f—ing behind you” or giving the ugly stepsisters the names of bitches.

The investigation was launched by police due to theatre manager Richard Pound. He complained that Amy Whinehouse punched and kicked him when he was asking her about moving seats.

One more important thing is that a famous singer was released and now she will have to return to court on January 20.
