Brittany Murphy who began her career as an actress in the sleeper hit “Clueless” and soared stardom in “8 Mile,” was found in the shower by her mother.
The Los Angeles Fire Department received the call at 8 a.m on Sunday from a home of British screenwriter Simon Monjack who married Brittany Murphy in 2007. The cause of the 32 years old actress’s death was cardiac standstill. Despite the fact that paramedics did all possible to revive her, the actress died. Brittany Murphy was taken to neighboring Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Brittany Murphy was born in November 10, 1977 in Atlanta. All her childhood she spent in New Jersey and then together with her mother, they moved to Los Angeles.
She started her career with small roles in movies, commercials and television series in the early 1990s. Her best roles are considered to be in the following films: “Clueless”, ‘Girl, Interrupted” and “8 Mile.” She will appear in Sylvester Stallone’s new film, “The Expendables,” that will release next year. Also Murphy was the voice of Luanne Platter of the popular Fox cartoon known as ‘King of the Hill’ that had more than 230 episodes.
Apart from acting, Brittany Murphy together with DJ Paul Oakenfold scored a hit on the song ‘Faster Kill Pussycat,” that later became popular in clubs. Also she covered two songs in the animated movie ‘Happy Feet.’
The friends of Brittany Murphy have already started to present their condolences among which was Ashton Kutcher with who the actress dated. “See you on the other side kid … 2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon,” he wrote.
