Dino Contostavlos, better known as Dapper, a rapper in the British group N-Dubz, went a bit over the edge when a listener of the BBC Radio 1’s The Chris Moyles Show sent in insulting text messages about the group on January 12.  While the group was being interviewed on the show, listener Chloe Moody texted in calling the band “losers” and targeting Contostavlos as being “repulsive.” While her text was not one of the ones read on the air, Contostavlos noted her number and called her following the show.

Moody saw several missed calls on her phone and called the radio station to ask who it was. Contostavlos answered her call and informed her that she was going to die for sending those insulting comments and that she would not be left alone until she had apologized. This was followed by phone calls and threats from him. In an interview with The Sun, Moody stated that the calls and messages were terrifying and that she considered calling the police once she found out who was responsible for them.

Contostavlos has since issued an apology to Moody through his manager. He states that he over reacted and was caught up in his anger of the moment. However, he went on to note that his behavior was still inexcusable and he was offering her his deepest regrets and apologies. He also sent an apology to Radio 1 for his actions. In addition, he offered Moody free N-Dubz concert tickets.

In spite of all of this sudden good will and forgiveness toward Moody, she says that the rapper himself has not yet texted her personally to offer his apologies. This makes one wonder if the apology itself was not motivated by his public relations representative. Moody did not say during the interview whether she will accept either the apology or the free concert tickets.
