Joe Jackson, who is now 81, claims his living expenditures amount to more than $20,000 a month. His attorney reports that the head of the family does not get any regular earnings and was living on his son’s money.

The father of the late singer intends to get living expenses coverage from his son’s estate. It means over $20,000 monthly. The information is presented in the court papers.

As of now the estate is giving out $26,000 as an allowance to Jackson’s mother. The attorney of Joe Jackson wrote in the filing of Los Angeles County Superior Court that the head of the family also had a right for getting financial support. He claimed that Joe’s late son had paid his bills for years.

He made it clear in an interview that the singer gave out a way larger sum of money on his parents’ support than Katherine Jackson is being paid now.

The attorney wrote in the filing that the temporary administration officials of the estate were wrong not carry about paying allowance to Michael’s father when they secured court approval of Katherine’s allowance.

Michael Jackson, who died June 25, had a very close and warm relationship with his mother. At the same time, it is known that his relationship with the father was far from ideal and rather troublesome. The singer blamed his father for beating him and his siblings when they were children.

Michael assigned his children’s guardianship to his mother and made her a beneficiary of a family trust as well that was founded by his will. But he left his father with nothing.

The filing does not give any certain amount of an allowance Joe Jackson wants to obtain. However, his monthly budget indicated in the court papers includes over $15,000 in expenditures with $1,500 for rent, $2,500 for eating out and $5000 for hotels and air travel.

Joe Jackson’s request for an immediate hearing was denied.
