A couple of days ago brand tracks of Eminem hit the Internet. As usually they are full of the lyrical irreverence but it’s not the case that has surprised most fans and admirers of the famous singer. We are dealing with a few words in his “Elevator” which caused discussion and contradictive opinions.
In spite of the fact that the general sense of the song is quite ambiguous many people have noticed the main deal is about Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert who are publicly gay. Still there are different opinions but the words of the song seem to speak by themselves for everything. “Sorry, Lance, Mr. Lambert and Aiken aren’t gonna make it; they became so mad, when I call them both fake…” On the other hand, some mass media resources claim it’s just the wrong understanding of the lines. As Eminem reasonably tries to avoid any substandard words in his songs they explain these lines as a mistake.
But the most significant feature is that the song appeared without any comments and there were no official lyrics for his “Elevator” for some time. All this has lead to possible wrong understanding of Eminem’s opinions.
Still Lambert commented on the song and admitted that he did nothing wrong otherwise Eminem will never mention him in the famous “Elevator”.
Anyway, the history of Eminem’s musical carrier reveals that in 2001 shaped up his opinion of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation in his well-known “Kill You” and “Criminal” from The Marshall Mathers LP. There we observed the lines “My words are like a dagger with jagged edge’; that’ll stab you in the head; whether you are a f-g or a lez.” So all the facts are quite contradictive and leave a variety of gossip…
