Simon Monjack, the late Brittany Murphy’s husband, has considered suicide since his wife’s untimely and unexpected death on December 20, 2009 says his mother. He struggles to get through everyday since she died and does his best to face life without her.
Brittany, 32, suffered a cardiac arrest while at her home in Hollywood Hills. She was buried Christmas Eve, but the reason she died has not been released while awaiting toxicology results. Monjack married Brittany in 2007 and is completely distraught over losing her.
According to Monjack’s mother, Linda, he often cries over Brittany’s death. She states that he is exactly like anyone else who has lost someone they loved. He has days when he just wants to end his life while other days he seems to cope better. However, he is still adjusting.

Linda also shares that her son’s initial reaction to an autopsy being conducted on Brittany was to say no. He did not want his wife, who he loved so much, to be cut open. However, it became apparent to him quickly that he had no choice but to agree. So now he is also waiting to see what the results say as he is needs to know what caused her death.

Monjack has become quite close with Brittany’s mother, Sharon, and they offer comfort to each other when things get really bad. Linda shares that Simon is quite strong and that he and Sharon are helping each other through this. These are two shattered lives that need closure.

Brittany and Simon were truly in love with each other. They rarely spent a lot of time apart. This was the year they were going to start trying to have a baby.

A final conversation that Linda had with Brittany was the day before her death. She and Simon were both on the phone with Linda. Brittany was laughing and in good spirits. The next day she was gone.
