Bristol Palin, 19 year old daughter of former vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, states that she will have not have sex again until she is married. Bristol is the mother of one year old son, Tripp, the result of a teenage sexual liaison with then boyfriend, Levy Johnston. Although they were engaged at the time of the campaign, they are no longer a couple and Levy has caused one embarrassment after another to the Palin family ever since.

While Bristol states that she would never regret having Tripp, who she calls the love of her life, she will not be repeating the mistake that got her pregnant in the first place. She understands the reality of being a mother at 19, and having to work to take care of her son. Currently, Bristol works at an Anchorage doctor’s office and attends classes at a small Wasilla college. This is not the life she envisioned for herself before getting pregnant.

However, Bristol has learned from her mistakes and is now serving as a Teen Abstinence Ambassador for Candie’s Foundation, which is an organization for the prevention of teen pregnancy. She was given this position last year following the birth of her son in December 2008, and is now an advocate of abstinence until marriage.

Bristol told In Touch during an interview that she can guarantee that she will not be having sex again until she is properly married. She knows that she was not ready for all of the responsibilities that go with having sex when she made that decision as a teenager. That is one of the biggest reasons that she now takes her duties with Candie’s Foundation seriously. If she can help other girls keep from making the same mistakes that she has made, she will have accomplished her goal.
