Adam Lambert, American superstar, has caused over 1,500 complaints by viewers of the American Music Awards that took place on Sunday.

The singer has never hidden his gay nature, but the way he behaved himself on stage during his performance at the ceremony was shocking and staggering. Lambert tried to simulate having sexual course with a back-up dancer right on stage before millions of viewers and then gave a male musician a kiss on his mouth.

As the star mentioned in his interview to CNN network that the kiss was “in the moment”.

According to ABC representatives, the amount of complaints was quite big. As far as the producers of the show itself are concerned, they have refused to give any comments.

Lambert performed at the ceremony his first single, titled For Your Entertainment. The singer said in reply to viewers’ complaints that in case they had got disappointed by his behavior on stage that night, this means he is being discriminated.

He also mentioned that he himself and his dancers as well had a great time. The star thanked people, who were watching his performance and had fun, for being entertained.

One of the media pressure groups, the Parents Television Council to be exact, that fight against obscene stuff on TV wrote a message on its official website, in which they described the show as uncivil and vulgar.

According to the president, Timothy Winter, the members of the group got enraged by what they had seen.

That kiss of Lambert brought about the memories about the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003 when two superstars Madonna and Britney Spears kissed each other on stage.

In 2004, Janet Jackson had the case of “wardrobe malfunction” when she got her right breast exposed to the public at the Super Bowl half-time show.
