Woodward is known for his starring in the1973 hit horror movie called The Wicker Man together with Sir Christopher Lee and TV series The Equalizer.

Sir Christopher said that Woodward was a wonderful man, a very good friend indeed, and a brilliant, talented actor.

According to Ms Glass, the actor had been suffered from various illnesses for several months and died with his family members being around, at his bed.

Woodward lived in Hawker’s Cove that is not far from Padstow and passed away at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.

Ms Glass was really sad about the actor’s death and reported that she had known him for a very substantial period of time and could say what a good, kind and amazing person he was.

She said his nature was revealed in the roles he played and claimed that there had never been any bad words pronounced by anybody in his referral, although he took part in numerous projects. Moreover, the actor never said any bad things about others.

Ms Glass also mentioned that the actor had a great success and was admired and loved all over the world for his roles in classic works and he was a good and brave person, who never lost his courage, never gave up, and did not even lose his wonderful sense of humor while he was ill.

She added that it is a bereavement for many people, who knew him and who admired his bright talent and good-natured personality.

Woodward has left his second wife, the actress Michele Dotrice, and four children, though three of them he had with his first wife.
