Husband to Late Brittany Murphy, Simon Monjack, Contemplates Suicide

Simon Monjack, the late Brittany Murphy’s husband, has considered suicide since his wife’s untimely and unexpected death on December 20, 2009 says his mother. He struggles to get through everyday since she died and does his best to face life without her.
Brittany, 32, suffered a cardiac arrest while at her home in Hollywood Hills. She was buried Christmas Eve, but the reason she died has not been released while awaiting toxicology results. Monjack married Brittany in 2007 and is completely distraught over losing her.
According to Monjack’s mother, Linda, he often cries over Brittany’s death. She states that he is exactly like anyone else who has lost someone they loved. He has days when he just wants to end his life while other days he seems to cope better. However, he is still adjusting.

Linda also shares that her son’s initial reaction to an autopsy being conducted on Brittany was to say no. He did not want his wife, who he loved so much, to be cut open. However, it became apparent to him quickly that he had no choice but to agree. So now he is also waiting to see what the results say as he is needs to know what caused her death.

Monjack has become quite close with Brittany’s mother, Sharon, and they offer comfort to each other when things get really bad. Linda shares that Simon is quite strong and that he and Sharon are helping each other through this. These are two shattered lives that need closure.

Brittany and Simon were truly in love with each other. They rarely spent a lot of time apart. This was the year they were going to start trying to have a baby.

A final conversation that Linda had with Brittany was the day before her death. She and Simon were both on the phone with Linda. Brittany was laughing and in good spirits. The next day she was gone.

Murphy’s Family Organized a Private Procession

Words can’t express all the feelings Brittany’s family has. They were devastated and dispirited. A private Christmas Eve funeral train was organized for a young 32-year-old well-known actress. The procession began Thursday in the afternoon and went on till the evening. A Christian Minister and a rabbi were present. Guests sang a song called “Amazing grace” that was really wonderful. The service was held in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills. It was a very nice and very respectful gathering on Christmas Eve. A bright light that Brittany brought in our hearts will live there forever. She was a great-hearted, passionate, incredibly loving and cheerful person and an actress to the core.

Brittany loved Christmas very much and it was derisive that she laid to rest on Christmas Eve. Murphy married in 2007 and during the ceremony her husband Simon Monjack told that she was his soul mate and the best friend. All members of Brittany’s family recalled their best memories of her. Reporters and several news vans waited outside the main gates of the graveyard.

Murphy moved to Los Angeles together with her mother Sharon when she was a teenager. A young girl started out in situation comedies and commercials. Then she got several roles in such well-known films as “8 Mile”, “Just Married”, “Little Black Book” and “Sin City”. She was very a hardworking person. She played together with Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder in the film “Girl, Interrupted.”
Brittany participated in many movie projects. Michael Feifer, who “guided” Murphy in her last role, said that she was a professional, kind and healthy actress. Brittany’s husband accompanied her and served as her make-up artist.

Police continues to investigate the death of the actress. There are no suspects. The results of toxicology are not ready yet. Therefore an official cause of the death is still not announced.

It turned out that a “cocktail” of prescribed medicines could lead to the death of actress Brittany Murphy that was only 32 -year-old.

A wide range of prescribed drugs were discovered in the bedroom of the actress among which were Fluoxetine (a depression med), Propranolol (used for precluding heart attacks), Methylprednisolone (an anti-inflammatory), Biaxin (an antibiotic), Ativan (anxiety med), Hydrocodone (pain med), Vicoprofen (pain killer), Topamax (used for preventing migraines), Carbamazepine (helps treat diabetic symptoms and is also a bipolar med), and Klonopin (an anxiety medication). No paraphernalia, alcohol or illegal drugs were found.

According to Dr. Bruce Goldberger, a professor and director of toxicology at the University Of Florida College of Medicine, if mix all above mentioned drugs, it can be the cause of Murphy’s death. Despite the fact that the reason of the death could be an overdose, the results of toxicology and autopsy disclaimed that version.

But still the final results of toxicology tests are not going to be released some months more.

There is another version of Murphy’s death, i.e. an eating disorder. Not so long ago the actress was seen on the red carpet in Los Angeles. She was in a sleeveless dress due to which one could see her rail-thin arms and legs.

In 2005 there were rumors according to which the actress suffered from an eating disorder but she denied all of them.

During 10 days before Murphy’s death, the actress was complaining of severe celiodynia and shortness of breath. Moreover, when the actress was found in the bathroom a big amount of vomit could be seen there.

According to the notes of the coroner, on Sunday Brittany went to the bathroom about 7:30. Later Sharon Murphy, Brittany’s mother, decided to check her daughter and when she opened the door she discovered Brittany lying on the floor. She called 911. When the paramedics arrived, it was too late.

Brittany Murphy who began her career as an actress in the sleeper hit “Clueless” and soared stardom in “8 Mile,” was found in the shower by her mother.

The Los Angeles Fire Department received the call at 8 a.m on Sunday from a home of British screenwriter Simon Monjack who married Brittany Murphy in 2007. The cause of the 32 years old actress’s death was cardiac standstill. Despite the fact that paramedics did all possible to revive her, the actress died. Brittany Murphy was taken to neighboring Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Brittany Murphy was born in November 10, 1977 in Atlanta. All her childhood she spent in New Jersey and then together with her mother, they moved to Los Angeles.

She started her career with small roles in movies, commercials and television series in the early 1990s. Her best roles are considered to be in the following films: “Clueless”, ‘Girl, Interrupted” and “8 Mile.” She will appear in Sylvester Stallone’s new film, “The Expendables,” that will release next year. Also Murphy was the voice of Luanne Platter of the popular Fox cartoon known as ‘King of the Hill’ that had more than 230 episodes.

Apart from acting, Brittany Murphy together with DJ Paul Oakenfold scored a hit on the song ‘Faster Kill Pussycat,” that later became popular in clubs. Also she covered two songs in the animated movie ‘Happy Feet.’

The friends of Brittany Murphy have already started to present their condolences among which was Ashton Kutcher with who the actress dated. “See you on the other side kid … 2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon,” he wrote.

Actress Brittany Murphy who started in many Hollywood hits died on Sunday at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Murphy got her big debut back in 1995 in one of her biggest role at that time when she started in “Clueless”. Murphy has played in lots of movies including in “Just Married” with ex-boyfriend Ashton Kutcher and in “8 Mile” where she played Eminems girlfriend. She has played in over a dozen films and sources tell us that she had few movies in the works for 2010.

Brittany Murphy will be missed by her family and all her fans around the world. Sad to say we lost another great talent in 2009.
